Join 200 naked gay men this June for the 16th Annual Midwest Male Naturist Gathering (MMNG) at Camp Gaea (pronounced guy-ah). Located about 45 minutes west of Kansas City and less than an hour from KCI Airport, Camp Gaea has over 100 very private acres of hilly woodland and grassland to explore and a lake with a swimming area, dock and boats available for use. Facilities include a large open pavilion, main hall, dining hall, restroom/shower building, nine sleeping cabins with electricity and numerous camping areas.
During MMNG, seminars and workshops on a variety of topics are offered, cocktail socials and dances are held, and generous meals keep everyone full. At other times you can play volleyball, soak up the sun, swim, boat, or fish on the lake. Or if you prefer, you can just sit in the shade and sip a cool cocktail. The only goal is to share some fun time with a great bunch of naked guys!
MMNG 2008 runs from 9am Wednesday, June 11th through noon on Sunday, June 15th. For a small additional fee you are welcome to arrive as early as Sunday afternoon, June 8th to extend the experience to a full week. There are no formal activities and no meals are provided during the pre-gathering timeframe but many MMNG regulars enjoy coming early to help with setting up for the event and doing projects to improve the camp. There's also plenty of time to relax and just have fun.
It's the guys attending MMNG that make MMNG what it is. Everyone is friendly with everyone at MMNG. New attendees are always surprised how welcoming and inclusive we are and never feel left out. The event is small enough that you get to know who everyone is and they get to know you. Expect to mix and socialize with fun guys of widely varied looks, ages and backgrounds. As the name says, most attendees are from the Midwest but any male aged 21 or over may attend. Some of the men belong to organized nudist groups or regularly visit nude beaches but for many this is a first-time or once-a-year experience. If you have attended or heard about other gay male gatherings like those sponsored by GNI, IMEN, and CMEN you will find MMNG to be much smaller and relaxed (and a lot cheaper!).
Beginning on Wednesday, when MMNG formally begins, all food is included with a simple breakfast and generous lunch and dinner. Unlimited iced tea, lemonade, and ice water will be available at all times. Snacks will also be provided throughout the day. You must provide your own soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Please note that during the pre-gathering period no meals are provided.
There are three ways you can stay at the camp – cabin, tent or RV. The price of MMNG is the same whether you camp in a tent or bunk in a cabin but slightly higher if you use an RV. Cabins have electricity but no bathrooms; are rustic, musty and can be crowded. We call that "ambiance." There are no formal hookups for RVs and tent sites aren’t always shady and level. We call that "camping." Electricity, running water, showers, flush toilets and porta-potties are available at the camp in various locations so you are not expected to live like a cave man (unless you want to). Please don't come expecting plush facilities and 4-star service. You will be disappointed. Expect the basics and a lot of fun, naked men!
